Terms and Conditions for Ubercart in Drupal 6

02/16/09 by Chris Toler | ,

I spent quite a bit of time recently looking for a 'Terms & Conditions' support module for Ubercart 2.x (Still in beta). There's a contributed version of this for Ubercart 1.x, but I wasn't having any luck finding updated contributions available for Drupal 6.

And then, out of the blue, I found this comment (UPDATE: This module is now available on the Ubercart T&C project page @ Drupal.org).

It's not quite as nice as the Drupal 5 version. There are a few issues with using it in conjunction with the 'pop-up' feature, as, instead of loading just the text from that node, it loads the entire page in a pop-up. That being said, the in-pane T&C functionality is fine.

I've noticed a lot of activity on the Drupal forums asking for this functionality, and I hope that a few people find this and that it makes their lives easier. :)

Chris, thanks for the reference. I'm trying to help my wife add a shopping cart facility on her drupal blog. Your article helped! Just a question, what do you think of ubercart as compared to other ecommerce options such as Zencart, Xcart etc?

Cheers,
Ed

I am installing Ubercart now for testing. It is worth noting that the main page of the site is reporting a lot of validation errors - 83 errors, 61 warning (s). Many errors are caused by embedding YouTube code. However, the pages that work do pass validation. I hope this has something to do with the inconsistent behavior of IE, but I'm not sure how Ubercart factors in.Anyway, I will sift through this and let you know what I find.

Many thanks for the Terms and Conditions module, couldn't find this on the main Ubercart Contrib site. Greatly Appreciated :-)
