This driver-vehicle-music synchronization is an industry first; composing a soundtrack based on drivers’ and vehicle inputs. In the realm of entertainment, LifeScore’s technology made its public debut in the Twitch series ‘Artificial: Remote Intelligence‘. The score of a movie, play, or television production has the power to completely alter how an audience will feel about what they’re being shown. LifeScore’s AI-driven adaptive music scoring tool was used to harness audience sentiments to create unique music in real time, adding a new layer of interactivity and personalization to the viewing experience.

The Process
Our collaboration with LifeScore began with defining and building the information architecture to support the requirements for automating musicological intent mapping12, a predictive heuristic model for arranging an audio score. We built a functional prototype on a mobile platform using custom audio buffering, encoding, and decoding processes to support real-time audio source sampling and streaming. We also architected and engineered a decision engine utilizing gyroscope and accelerometer sensors on the phone for input to inform real-time audio stream effects.
We architected and built a scalable cloud-based service and client platform for real-time audio sampling, processing, and streaming. This included creating a listener for a chat feed that processed and mapped the real-time user input across multiple axes. We also built a Windows Desktop application, based on the cloud service and client platform, with a UDP signal listener to receive inputs from a vehicle that were used to inform real-time audio stream events and produce visual cues.

With their recent £11 million Series A funding round, they are poised to further develop their proprietary adaptive music technology and expand their customer base in Europe, the U.S., and Asia.
